What is it with me and book series at the moment?
Oh well. On the plus side, I am getting more space on my bookshelves.

In all seriousness tho there are some weird arse pseuds out there. Is there some sort of random-author-name-maker-engine I don't know about?? You know – like that band name maker everyone seems to be using these days??
Ever since one of you goofy bloggers — and I can't remember who it was — brought up the subject, I've been noticing these names and chuckling over them. I'd love to start a list.
It wouldn't be very pc for another author to do it, though. Besides, my sense of humor has gotten me into enough trouble.
My fear would be I'd say “Wow, that is the lamest invented name ever” and the author would then post a pic of their birth certificate showing it really is their name. LOL
Goofy?? I should take offense at that, but s/he/it was one of my fave cartoon characters. 😉
Anyway, that wasn't me. It was the kitteh. I think one of the latest books she read the author's name was I D Locke. What. The. Hell. Even that one stumped me and I'm usually pretty oblivious to these things.

Ah, yes, I remember your post about the Jessica Anderson series :). I've heard of Sunny but her book blurbs didn't catch my attention so I never really tought of trying them. But, hey, more space on your shelves IS good. Think of the unlucky people who discover good, long series, and who are cursed to buying all the other books when they don't have any more space in their bookcases – or floor. *coughs and tries to balance book 4 of Lynn Flewelling's Nightrunners series on top of a rickety-looking pile*

*sigh* I feel exactly the same way, Mary, every time a new Terry Pratchett or J D Robb comes out. But it IS good to get more space on the bookshelves, especially when I'm not forcing myself to do a cull rather it's entirely the fault of the series. 😉

I read a short from this author and I think it was related to this series. I was, sadly, not impressed.
