Well, I have to admit the main reason I started all this was so that I could start annoying… umm… posting comments on some of the fantastic blogs that I have been stalking… ahh… following over the past couple of weeks.

I never really expected that I would get interested in this aspect of the internet.

Hey, don’t get me wrong, I am not a total technophobe. I am all about using the internet for my work, which involves a lot of research, but for recreation… seriously??? Me???

My brother has been on to me for years about getting a my space page. I did try IMing for awhile, but it just annoyed the crap out of me with people wanting to chat all the time, especially certain members of the family… need I say more.

Why the change of heart, you ask? Ebooks – god damn them!

Ever since I discovered them I have been addicted. The instant gratification my reading obsession gets from downloading a new book – OMG! I don’t even want to think about the money that I have spent – and, of course, this hasn’t stopped me buying print fiction, now has it?! *sigh*

Kris’ Down Fall
(and, yes, I know I am writing about myself in the 3rd person. No idea… just don’t ask)

Step 1: Kris discovers ebooks and buys (a lot) of them.

Step 2: Kris gets addicted to certain authors ( J L Langley, T A Chase, Jet Mykles, Josh Lanyon, etc, etc) and HAS to have EVERY SINGLE BOOK they have EVER published.

Step 3: Failing to recognise her growing obsession, Kris goes to authors’ websites to find out when the next book is coming out… and the next… and the next… (are you starting to see the pattern here??)

Step 4: Kris discovers the stories posted on T A Chase’s blog. (OMG – how good are they! and the new one – Nick of Time – is leading up to be an A+ read. bring on the next installment!)

Step 5: … and then discovers Fiction with Friction, and then Desert Island Keepers (these girls are hilarious), and then Rain on the Roof, and then Nose in a Good Book, and then… etc, etc… let’s just say the fall was quick. I am trying to regret it… really I am…

So here I am starting a blog that no one will probably read, but what the heck!

Now, if some smart arse wants to come along and tell me that I didn’t have to start a blog to post a comment I really, REALLY don’t want to hear it! Just DON’T!

And for those of you who do read it and will (of course) wonder if I will ever post another blog on this site again.. who knows… maybe… especially if I can ever finish the project that I am working on, which – surprise, surprise – has been put off by my reading and my new addiction to blog sites.

Guilt much… over reading… NEVER! *g*
