The time has come for you to add a comment with your link to the review (can be a goodreads review) of the book you read as part of my awesome m/m ‘get me the fuck out of this rut’ challenge.
Don’t forget that there are two $20 ARe vouchers up for grabs: the first for anyone who read and reviewed a book that they would have ordinarily avoided like the plague; and, the second for the person who read the most books out of their comfort zone.
Now go forth and link, my sweets. I won’t do the draw until 12 noon Monday 22 March my time.
Here are a couple of Cecile’s cookies (pic kindly taken by Patti *g* ) to inspire you:
Okay, I said historical and fantasy.
Here is LINK for my report.
But I also read From Afar which is an historical (with vampires again, what's up with that?) so I guess it counts as historical #2.
Then I read A Fair Trade which is sort of an Historical, so I'd say 1/2 point for that.
So that's it for me.

I am a YA and a full Anthology
YA…
Love By the Numbers..
Anthology
Echoes Of The Future
My choice was YA. I ended up reading Without Sin by J. Tomas and really liked it a lot.
My review is posted HERE.
My two were YA and anything with religious hatred and I reviewed Thinking Straight by Robin Reardon here.
Mine was YA (Vintage) and it is
here
*whispers* I haven't read any m/m yet this year even though I joined a challenge!
*holds hands out for spanking with ruler*
Thanks for the bloggy pimpage – not sure why but I do love that pic!
My review for the horror (Alive on the Inside) coming up soon.
But I did the novella HERE!
Thanks for the links, guys.
Patti: “*whispers* I haven't read any m/m yet this year even though I joined a challenge!”
Bad, Patti. Bad!
You're welcome for the pimpage. I figured I owed you for those pretty cookies. π
Menage: FU by Mia Watts
Fantasy: Hero by Heidi Cullinan
Fantasy: The Guardian by Mary Calmes
Historical: Seducing Stephen by Bonnie Dee & Summer Devon
SciFi: My Fair Captain & The Englor Affair by JL Langley
Summary: I enjoyed the historicals and scifi much more than I expected! Thank you for the challenge, Kris, because it definitely moved them up my list. The menage and fantasy, alas, not really my thing.
D'oh – forgot to subscribe to the comments on that last comment. Ignore this. Nothing to see here.
Chris, 5? Were you determined to get a voucher or what? π
Chris just loves being a weiner!
What?! Good lord, you know how much I read and what a notorious book slut I am – why are you surprised?!
*sticks out tongue at wren*
*leaving Wren out on that limb on her own*
Chris: Good point. Not really that shocking when you think about it.
Kris: Thanks for nothing.
Chris: I'm just jealous! *bats eyelashes*
Where is my axe… Hmm…
Wren: You did that all on your lonesome, mate. Don't be dragging me down with you.
*humming*
I'm a Minnesotan. Surely I must have a small woodchipper in my closet?
*sound of rummaging*
*swings from branch into the arms of a brawny cookie*
La! I'm off then!
*has strange desire to roll dice to see if wren makes that swing*
Chris?? What was that weird thudding noise I just heard?
I love that photo!
I'm bad and didn't join, but I'm looking forward to reading the reviews π
You didn't join my challenge?! Hmpf!
I'm not participating because I no longer have any free time to read good books. *CRIES*
Also I'd like to state on the record that KRIS IS HARASSING ME VIA EMAIL!
Please help! Somebody!
Me harassing you??
HA! I'M NOT THE ONE THREATENING TO SEND VIDEOS OF LEWD, KITCHEN SEX ACTS TO THE OTHER PERSON!
YEAH. YOU READ THAT RIGHT.
NOT SO SWEET AND INNOCENT, IS SHE?!
Am so. You'll never prove otherwise.
No, obviously not…
…because all I have for proof are your crude messages from your email address??
HA!!
I said fantasy and read True of Heart. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5822651-true-of-heart
I liked it so much that I also read Lords of Kellersborne which I liked even more and gave 5 stars to, but since Chris already has me beat in numbers, I didn't write a review of that one (it was painful enough to write my 3 sentences for True of Heart, and notice how I out it off til the last second).
I bought Fires of Ballian, but even though I enjoyed the first two, I can't seem to muster the energy/ enthusiasm to read that one yet. It may sit in my TBR until you have an m/m rutt challenge 2. π
@Nichem

Please dont give her any ideas – I bearly have gotten over my book…
I need a break – Like a year at the least..
E.H>
Richelle: You wrote more then 3 sentences for me. *sniffles* You luff me.
In all seriousness though I'm really glad that you liked these two books. Definitely a fave of mine. Re: Lords of Kellersborne – If I were you I'd just wait until the fourth and last book is out and then read them together. Less frustrating all round. π
EH: Don't be so negative. This was fun, dammit.
WINNERS
So the winner of the most books read out of their comfort zone was:
CHRIS
And the winner of the 'yay, I participated in this awesome challenge' is:
RICHELLE
CONGRATS! I will email you both separately about this.
Thank you!!!
Congrats, Chris and Richelle π
