We all know that the internet and other forms of media have exposed large numbers of people to pron who ordinarily wouldn’t come across it, including kids, but that’s not the topic I want to talk about today. Instead, I want to get your thoughts on why more and more girls are openly admitting that they like it.

What’s also intriguing is that my views are such a contrast to the way I answered Wave’s post about ‘Do You Watch Gay Pron?‘ back in August last year:
I’ve never been a porn watcher/viewer, gay or otherwise. *shrugs* Just doesn’t float my boat. I’m more into reading erotica or porn as well as comics and manga.
I think for me it’s more about my imagination being stimulated with the fantasy as opposed to everything being laid out visually before me. Does that make sense??

Before I started reading m/m (and reading m/m blogs), I had a few pictures of guys with bare chests, probably mostly from the Lords of the Underworld forum.
Then I started to read m/m and m/m blogs and through said blogs, discovered tumblr blogs. O_O
Now I have an ever-increasing number of “cookies”, some of them extremely graphic. I can't see myself watching pr0n videos or anything, because I've always found pr0n videos silly – they just don't appeal to me in the way still photos do.

Relatively speaking, my pr0n obsession is recent. It started out as a timid, curious, I'll-just-lurk-here-and-learn. But like any addiction, it grew and grew (heh) and now…jeebuz I write the stuff!
I'm more captivated by stills than film, I think. Or maybe it's the kind of film. QAF was wonderful, perhaps because you didn't see everything all the time, there were real story lines and tension etc. Pron Pr0n is still kind of meh to me. Gets boring after the first minute or so. Even if it's m/m, which is the only kind that piques my interest.
The subject is definitely taboo in my broader community, at least, which is why I love hanging out in the interwebz and places like this one. I suppose if I were with a group of friends with whom I felt secure I'd be proud to wear the badge and talk shop, so to speak. Alas, that doesn't exist in my RL.
And I agree with Chris, Kris: your family gatherings do sound much more interesting than mine. And it only took me a few eye blinks to figure out what “rellies” are.
Ok so I already know I'm a bit weird in this way but yup I watch the pron, have since about puberty…BUT even then I knew it was just all wrong compared to actual sex cause there was no way my chubby legs could get into that position.

If someone asked I wouldn't be ashamed to say I watch it. I wouldn't announce it at the family dinner (ahem) but I'm not going to deny it. I think there used to be the attitude that nice women didn't like sex. You closed your eyes and did your duty but you didn't get turned on by sex or external forces. You had sex with someone because you loved them and were giving them a gift, the only thing in it for you was seeing their happiness. Blah. Now it's pretty well accepted that women like sex because it feels good and while I think many of us might prefer there be an emotional attachment to a partner (that's what works or me) that doesn't mean between partners we are sexually dormant or that with a partner you can't become sexually aroused by something other than rainbows and hearts floating around your partner's genitals. So I think porn is no longer considered the domain of filthy men who are “cheating” on their wives and something good girls would rather die that watch. So with friends I have no problem admitting I watch it occasionally. It's a personal choice, works or some and not for others.
Oh an I don't own any, nor have I downloaded it. They are like any other movie. Once I've seen it why would I watch it again? The novelty is gone and I don't watch mainstream movies more than once as a rule, so porn is the same. Downloading when there is free stuff (and I've never paid for it, tons of free stuff from real movies out there) is a waste.

I just had an epiphany, in m/f porn (not sure about “movies” you can buy but stuff on the internet) I get a vibe that the young girls are being taken advantage of. That they are being used in some way. There often seems to be an older guy (not older older but say late 20's) with a very young girl (less than 20). You don't often see two 19 year olds in m/f. But when I watch m/m (most of it) there seems to be more equality. Two young guys with one goal.
