In the late 90s, I worked in the building that served as the police station for the Lethal Weapon movies. While I was working there, they made the one (#3?) where they blew the station up. We were all relegated to the bottom/basement floor while they filmed. But, at least they let us eat at craft services.
The deal was that they were going to tear down my building irl, because the owner stood to gain more money by demolishing it and building sound studios.

Renee: When we were driving through LA downtown yesterday morning, the driver was pointing out buildings, tunnels etc that were used in different movies, including King Kong! So teeny in RL. Of course, we also had to stop to let a camera crew film a driving scene through downtown too. LOL. Too funny.
