Reading the above story reminded me how much I like romances involving a closeted – for whatever reason – celebrity finding twu wuv with an ordinary guy.
Others I’ve really enjoyed include K A Steele’s To The Highest Bidder and T C Blue’s Conventions series.
Are they realistic??
Probably not.
But, fuck it, who doesn’t like a fairy tale happy ending!
This is romance, after all. π

Too funny! I JUST finished this one. LOVED it!! TA Chase has one that I love. Tabloid Star. *sigh* π
I didn't know that about you. :-O I have a WIP that would make you happy then… When I finish it. In ten years or so.
You might like JM Cartright's A Change of Tune then. π
Jambrea: Snap! π I remember that T A Chase! I liked it too. If you hadn't already guessed. LOL.
Matthew: Well, now that you know you should finish this WIP first. Say in the next week or so. Yes, that will do me very nicely.
Chris: Cool. Thanks Chris!
I'm the opposite. I get so frustrated as a rule with the closeted star and how he treats the person he supposedly loves that I just want to smack them all. I've read a few I enjoyed, TA's is one, but as a rule. Meh. I avoid them.
Thank god for different tastes. Give me a hooker with a heart of gold though and I'm sold. π
*ahem*
Yes?? Can I help you with something, Sean? *bats eyelashes*
Tam: “Thank god for different tastes. Give me a hooker with a heart of gold though and I'm sold. :-)”
With this theme, I'm always thinking they'll end up breaking up cos of the trust issues, blah, blah. Like you said, thank god for different tastes. π
I love those types of books. They're unrealistic but sometimes that can be a good thing after a long day. Jet Mykles Heaven Scent series is rockstar finds hea. I love that series.
“et Mykles Heaven Scent series is rockstar finds hea. I love that series.”
Me too, Jackie. Me too.
I also like… you know, the story about the Aussie Rules footballer… gee, I wish I could remember who wrote that… it will come to me…
Let me know… Sounds yummy
Maybe it will be familiar to someone else… Any ideas, people??
That'll do, Kris. That'll do.
In your head you said 'pig' when you typed that, didn't you, Sean.
I am reading a similar kind of book at the moment.
Didn't TA Chase do a story about a closeted country singer as well?
Ingrid: She did. It was called 'Wishing for a Home'.
I like the premise π I should read this book then, yes?
@Tam – I do agree, the closeted star needs to not treat his beloved like trash.
@Matthew – ohhhh π
Orannia: I liked it but then again I'm biased. π
