LOL I just told the kid that when I went to GR earlier my book total was 1,666. She said “Maybe that's a sign you should stop.” My response was “Phhhtt. I just added one more.” 🙂

To be honest I've hardly bought any books lately. Just didn't seem motivated despite seeing books and thinking “I'd like that”. Someone posted a 55% off code for Fictionwise so I picked up a few novellas/novels.

  2. DarienMoya says:

I do that all the time!

  3. Natasha says:

Hey I bought my wedding dress from a hippie shop in freo ($30) so I could use the extra money on buying PNW hardcover box set and import it. My sister hated the dress so she bought me an evening dress instead LOL! Hubby said at least you wore a dress. I was afraid you'd turn up in black skinny jeans and a lace T-shirt. (I would have worn a bra underneath! Sheesh!)

    Speaking of books….
Just read Dani Alexander shattered glass. It was very funny.

  5. Ingrid says:

Lol, I have been low on money last year and a half but I did manage to buy all the books I wanted.
But I must admit that I did raise the bar. I was more selective. Only bought the fluff when I could/can really afford it.

  6. Kris says:

    Chris: Well breathed.

Tam: I'm pretty sure the kidlet said that already knowing the answer. LOL

I've bought books, but dear God it's hard finding the decent stuff through all that porn crap.

Darien: I was going to say that we need a support group, but fuck that. We need a club with merit badges. 😛

    Tish: That's classic. LOL.

I read that too! And liked it very much.

Ingrid: “but I did manage to buy all the books I wanted”

There is always a way. 😉

I've been more selective too. Mine though has been mainly due to all the mental health stuff going on and rarely being in the right frame of mind – get it! I kill me. – to even want to read. When I have been I make sure it's stuff that will really appeal.

  7. Kris says:

Okay. I hate this new blogger comment thing. It looks like shit.

  8. Chris says:

Plus you have to subscribe to a comment feed, instead of email.

To get email comment subscription back, you have to switch to embedded comments.

  9. orannia says:

Amen! I often think of things in terms of 'how many books' 🙂

    @Tish – LOL!

@Kris/Chris – I don't like it either. Is there a way to get the email subscriptions back?

  10. Ingrid says:

I wondered why I didn't get any comments in the mail.

  11. Kris says:

Seriously, thinking about taking my bat and ball to wordpress. This is annoying the hell out of me.

  12. angel flower says:

I think that way all the time when buying things, I have definitely become addicted to reading lol

  13. Kris says:

Angel: We appear to be lost causes. The question is whether or not we really give a toss about that. 😉

  14. angel flower says:

lol I love the way you think lol

  15. That quote could have come straight from my brain. It's spot on.

    *waves*

  16. Kris says:

    Hey stranger. 🙂

Birds of a feather and all that. 😉
