I should probably add a bunch more m/f and other stuff but …. My enthusiasm has waned. So if I see stuff that other people added I grab it for my own, but I don't feel like running around making lists for myself to add. Laziness reigns supreme.
I'll just add new ones as I read them likely.
But it's done now and it wasn't SO bad, right? Right? And now you can just sit back and enjoy the Good Reads fun. I'm sure you'll thank me later. 😛
Tam: Yeah, I haven't quite finished. There is stuff that's on my real shelves that I want to add to Good Reads, which I'll get to within the next week or so.
Surprisingly, I'm actually being pretty good with adding my recent reads. *ponders* I wonder how long it will last. LOL.
Considering the fact that you have singlehandedly made – yes, MADE – how many of us now… let's see, me, Tam, Ingrid, Jen, Kassa, Wren… join this Good Reads thing it better get bloody fun and soon!
BTW, what does one do now that one has joined up to Good Reads??
Perhaps I should have asked that last question first…
Wait. We have to keep it up now?
I saw that Ingrid added a bazillion books while I wasn't looking. If I add more, it will be in dribs and drabs.
Kris, i love your lolcatz!
wtf… maintaining?! oh christ. I have to add new ones?!
/cries brokenly in the corner
How much do I live the lol cat of the day? So wonderful!
Add to Goodreads as you go. Or…not. 🙂
Well, now I get to look through all your libraries and see which books you liked, so I have ideas for which books I should get/ read.
Oh, wait– you meant what should the rest of you do. Hmm, well, I don't know about that.
Just kidding. There's lots you can do. Like if you're thinking about getting a book but not sure about it, you can look and see what your friends rated it. Or if you want to try a new author, you can look at their backlist to see which of their books was the most highly rated. Or you can get good book ideas from your friends recommended reads list. Or if you see a friend is starting a book that looks interesting you can post and ask them if it's good so far or poo. So many, many things.
Wren, yeah, I know…. it's depressing. At least, my lolcatz charm has been with me on this quest.
*wandering off to see what can be scavanged from Ingrid's list*
*pats Kassa* Richelle! You made Kassa cry. *glaring* See what you've done!
Tracy, I'm leaning more towards the not.
“Oh, wait– you meant what should the rest of you do. Hmm, well, I don't know about that.
That's NOT funny, Richelle. Not. At. All.
I just want the fun to start. *sympathy tears welling*
Well if you join the m/m romance group (and seriously, they let me in so they'll let anyone in) you can vote on the fisting poll. 🙂 That's fun. LOL
So far I'm just being nosy and seeing what other people are reading and what their ratings are.
It's been interesting to compare notes.
There's an m/m romance group, Tam? Where's that at??
Jen, I'm all for being nosy. It's been interesting for me as well to see where ratings have been similar or different. I've come to the conclusion that I'm pretty mean.
Now you just have fun with it. See what other people are reading and talking about.
Join the M/M Romance group. If you can't find it check on my page, towards the bottom it lists the groups I'm in.
This word 'fun'. It means something different, yes, in your world.
KrisI've come to the conclusion that I'm pretty mean.
Yes, I came to that conclusion too :P.
My list Kris? Think that there are more books on your list then mine *g*
The m/m group is kinda fun. Many new faces there too. Not I don´t love you but new people have new ideas/books/views etc.
But the polls are seriously mean because you can choose only one thing.
Wren, when did I add so much books? I did the most of them last weekend.
Jen's becoming a little cheeky, methinks.
Ingrid, I followed the cookie crumbs from Lily's to the m/m group. *crossing fingers* Here's hoping I don't get rejected.
I'm waiting *taps foot repeatedly* for fun…
Ingrid, I don't know, I just got an email that showed me that you added a bunch of books. I may have been exaggerating on the total number.
I joined the mm group. It said you had to be “approved” so I was sure I was out, but today I discovered I'm in. It was just there – I didn't get a notice or anything.
And Kris, you are not mean. You've been nothing but kind to me since I jumped on this bandwagon.
The approval notice might be in your junk folder. I noticed a few of mine notices ending up there.
Aww, thanks Wren. You can stay. 😉
Ingrid, like Wren, I didn't get a notice of approval re: the m/m group. I just looked at my GR page and there it was.
D'you know what's really funny? I loaded up all the reviews from my blog onto GR this week and now I'm the #1 reviewer!
It won't last as it's done weekly. I wonder how many people have checked out my dirty book reviews this week cos I've been labelled #1?
OMG! I wonder how many people openend your reviews and went into shock. *g*
