If you're having difficulty finding books, try Anime Castle. I went through them to get the volumes of Totally Captivated by Hajin Yoo that I was missing, which is another awesome series, btw. Manhwa (Korean yaoi), though.

I do rate the people who translate very highly – when Mel (my firiend) translate – it feels flat and not as emotive as when the professional translator does it… as the language has an upside down thing to it – and everything means something else…

I agree. As much as I appreciate scanlations (for eg I finished reading Youko Nitta’s Embracing Love (Haru wo Daiteita) online), some of the translations can be a bit iffy. It is a definite skill.
The off translations are sometimes part of the fun. Not all yaoi is good.
