How to play:
Step 1. Peeps choose different elements to be included in a story.
Step 2. After counting the votes, I let you know the results and…
Step 3. Hand it over to Angelia, who has agreed to produce the short story incorporating your choices in about four weeks time.

The story prompts:

1. part of the setting
a) an abandoned mill Don Quixote style
b) a Peter Allen karaoke night
c) an anger management retreat at a monastery
d) a snowed-in ice station

2. some background to one of the main protags
a) one of them has had a succession of jobs including a dog walker, a forensic lab assistant, a trapeze artist, an accountant, a zoo keeper, a courier and a fluffer
b) one of them is petrified that ginger-haired people are going to take over the world
c) one of them has a piece of string tied around his finger to remember something, but can’t remember what it was
d) one of them is convinced that they’re going to imprint on someone

3. another character/s
a) a chorus of male dancers who all have the same name
b) a lost – extremely precocious – toddler
c) a pig farmer who has a such a strong accent that it makes him/her hard to understand
d) an alien who has run away to Earth to become a cheerleader 

4. a conflict
a) an internal voice that suddenly develops a personality of its own 
b) a ghost gerbil that keeps on moving things
c) a malfunctioning shrinking machine
d) xray vision

5. an object/phrase to be mentioned in the story somewhere
a) a panda bear costume
b) ‘an avalanche of …. [insert your choice of what here] …’
c) a sex education class for virgins of all types
d) a red velvet cupcake corset
