As much as I’ve been ouching over guys getting pierced or inked, I have to admit that when it’s not in a no-no (Fiction Vixen TM) place I do love reading scenes in m/m erotica and romance where either the receiver or both he and his partner get off on the act.
Yeah, yeah, a twu wuv bod mod is the equivalent of a caveman hitting his chick over the head with a club, but, for me, there is something so fucking hot about the entire scenario.
A couple of cases in point:
~ the scene right at the end of Secrets, Skin and Leather where Dal gets his nipples pierced in front of Dillion. Holy hell!
Offhand, I can’t recall a tattoo story, although I’m sure I’ve read one and had a similar reaction to those described above.
Maybe our very own “I even like the pain” redhead can think of one since she seems to have such an affinity. 😉

In Spilled Ink by Rob Knight there was a couple of scenes of him getting turned on by the tattoo process and also in the first Facets book by Rob Knight, Paul gets all horny while getting his tattoo.
I don't really get that. I have had tattoos and while I didn't find it excruciatingly painful it did hurt but after awhile I just got numb. I read through most of my last one for about an hour. No tingling in the nether regions but I have heard people who say it happens for them. So I don't mind it in a book but I think I've always got a bit of that scrunched up nose “Huh? I don't get it.” thing going on in my head. LOL
And piercing I really don't get it, sure there is the adrenalin rush, but I've only had my ears done and that HURT. If all it took was adrenalin from pain to get you horny you'd think every time you stubbed your toe or burned your arm on the oven people would be orgasming all over the place.

I haven't read any books with the actually piercing taking place except for the link you gave, but it doesn't work for me. Too much OUCH THAT FRIGGIN HURTS factor for me.
I love it after the fact, but the actually piercing or inking…I'll pass.

My first tatt tickled, but I didn't get aroused. My second fucking killed before my entire arm went numb. Ouch. I can't even remember getting my ears pierced that was in a galaxy far, far away.
MsM there are lots of descriptions in the Willa Okati book In the Strangest Places I think. At least I remember in the little Chaser series when they pierced a guy in Dallas he got off on his nipple(s) being done and then the BF got dimples (which I hate) and it was described.

Also in one of the tri-omega series (I forget which ones) the two guys pierce the omega's nipples (they each did one and he got two). They do it themselves but as werewolves they heal in about 20 min. so not quite the same thing as for us humans. 🙂
Yeah, Spilled Ink was pretty good. Quite realistic, they didn't fall madly in love the first night which for me is a biggie.
I don't remember my lobes but just having the upper part done hurt. Obviously having had a child it's easy peasy compared to that. LOL But it felt like it was on-fire. Not sexy.

When I got my tattoo, and when I got it expanded and touched up, I was told that I have a high pain tolerance (the tattooing tickled more than anything), so I can see getting aroused if someone I found attractive was spending a lot of hands on time tattooing me…

I think I will have to admit that yes, I do… It's all Sean Michael's fault. I read Bent and both of the main characters – Jim & Marcus – have piercing and tattoos done…and it worked within the context of the book. (Which is amazing as I've had neither done…I do think about maybe getting my ears pierced 🙂 Oh, and yes, they get off on it 🙂

Well, he kinda outgrew them…but also they start to make the nipples droop a bit after a while, and they're hard to keep clean. He had some pretty big rings in there, and they built up a layer of scar tissue. Owwie.
