Dear God, would you get with the times already!? Print Publisher
I’ve given it some thought and I’ve come to the conclusion that it would be in my best interests if you would implement an epublishing program at your company.
I believe it will be beneficial for the purposes of my instant gratification.
You’re welcome.
Kris of Kris ‘n’ Good Books.
KSC declares it, and so it shall be!
Girl, you are to much!!
And **gasps in horror** you are a twitter now…..
**shakes head and walks away mumbling something about wrong with this damn world, lol**
Hope all is well twitt girl!
I totally agree with you on this one, Kris! Of course, it wouldn't be beneficial for my checking account.
Cecile, Kris moved over to the darkside with the rest of us!
**Cecile shakes head…. Damn twitter is claiming everyone**
**shakes head no and puts arms over chest.. I will not do it..**
Well, I don't buy paper books so I don't really care. *sticks nose in the air*
Oh and I have resisted the call of the evil blue bird. (mostly out of laziness)
High fives Tam!!!!
That damn blue bird… where is my bb gun….
I still buy the occasional paperback, but really have to be in the right mood to open them.
Wrote to Wayward re The Larton Chronicles & received following reply:
“We are seriously considering the idea of bringing out at least some of Wayward Books as ebooks and we should like to do this, but until we can get to grips with the software involved, we cannot do it straight away”.
I agree kris – as a reader, but with some of the horror stories you hear about book piracy – it's really no wonder why some author/publisher/press choose not to go that route…
I am ebooks all the way – but I also want an author to get their fair share of the pie as well…
E.H>
Yes Cecile, it feels like the world has come to an end.
Luckily some still refuse the evilness that is BB.
I ordered a few paperbacks for my upcoming holiday as I feel water and an e-reader don't really combine
High five Tam
I'm all for ebooks too. Don't know why, but paperbacks always stay unopened at the tbr shelf for a long time.
@Cecile: oww, come on, hon! You know you want to! 🙂
Word.
Huzzah!
Grrr. Dear Google/Blogspot/Blogger: It'd be nice to be able to subscribe to comments even when I happen to be signing on as I comment. Thank you.
hear hear!
Also Mr. Publisher (it must be a man don't you think?), if you could make them super cheap that would be good too cause then I could buy more. oh wait, I already do. Dammit.
Katiebabs chook: And so it is!
Cecile: It wasn't my fault! I WAS BORED! You know what I'm like when I get bored.
THINGS happen.
Eyre: “Of course, it wouldn't be beneficial for my checking account.”
True, but it would be to theirs eventually which is all part of my cunning marketing ploy. I mean, plan.
Mornin' Sissy
Yet another letter by Kris that will never get to the person who matters!
AND I knew that you would give in to the twitter thing… you just can't stop yourself, can you? Of course it is just another enabler in the procrastinatorsRUS@Kris.com isn't it!!!!!!
veri: zappire – zapped in anger? or first person zapped?
Tam: “Well, I don't buy paper books so I don't really care. *sticks nose in the air*”
Snob! Also, so not true, you yaoi slut.
Eyre: “We are seriously considering the idea of bringing out at least some of Wayward Books as ebooks and we should like to do this, but until we can get to grips with the software involved, we cannot do it straight away”.
Umm, hello. You provided the excerpt in pdf and can easily sell books through Smashwords etc. It ain't rocket science.
EH: “I also want an author to get their fair share of the pie as well.”
Good point. I also think, though, that some of the smaller specialist type publishers like glbt presses do need to way up the pros and cons of epub in order to remain in business and to keep publishing great work. Let's face it, for all you hear about some small publishers remaining in business because of a niche market there are probably dozens that don't.
Ingrid: “as I feel water and an e-reader don't really combine”
Probably not. The company that events the waterproof phone or ereader is going to make gazillions.
Janna: “Don't know why, but paperbacks always stay unopened at the tbr shelf for a long time.”
Mine too. I find myself more and more reluctant to read any of the print in my tbr.
KC: *fist bump*
Glad it's not just me looking askance at the print books in my tbr!
Chris: Huzzah, indeed. 🙂
I'm glad I'm not the only one who Blogger hates, although his attitude does seem to be more consistent with me. 😦
Kaetrin: “Also Mr. Publisher (it must be a man don't you think?), if you could make them super cheap that would be good too cause then I could buy more. oh wait, I already do. Dammit.”
Oh, they're definitely male. If they were female they would have done all of this already.
But, Kaetrin, just think, if they were super cheap you could buy twice as many!
Mumma: Stop dissing me! *mutterI'llzappireyoumutter*
Chris: “Glad it's not just me looking askance at the print books in my tbr!”
LOL. I think we could probably form a support group.
I can feel a visit to our favourite book shop coming up soon!!!!!
Mumma: I had an email from the girls at the tame romance bookstore last night! My books are in! Woot!
I'm so with you on this!!! Because really? This is genius!
Things happen… 0_o
Hummm sounds like how a child conceived…
Mariana: *blushes* I know. Seriously. though, people should listen to me more. I am always right about these kinds of things.
Cecile: “Hummm sounds like how a child conceived…”
Well, I hope some peeps sex lives are better than one that goes 'get that THING away from me!' LOL.
Girl you never know…. **raise eye brows**
Cecile: Eep. *orifice clench*
Eep is right… but if you are bored.. I could have thought of other things we could have did.. I mean that we could have found for you to do… .lol…. 0_o
Cecile: *blushes* Are you coming on to me??
Hum, I wonder… I do know is that I sure do have your mind occupied with other things besides that blue bird huh…. **cecile snaps her garter belt** 0_*
Cecile: Flirt! 🙂
You know you love me…. And flirt… tease… well you never know tell you try it… **twitt twiite**
Cecile: I do love you, my temptress.
“… well you never know tell you try it…”
But that's exactly what I thought about Twitter when I got bored the other day and you just got up me for it! *hmpf*
LOL!
I am resisting the blue bird, and the FaceBook…and the MySpace, etc. I know they (whoever they are 🙂 say resistance if futile, but…I must resist!
Hummmm…… well I have lost another to the damn blue bird….
**hands on hips… plotting evil revenge**
Hope you had a great day hon!
Orannia: *solemnly* The force be with you, my child.
Cecile: “**hands on hips… plotting evil revenge**”
I'm pretty sure that I should be scared, but Twitter has all my attention at the moment. Bright and shiny thing that it is. 😛
So pretty shiny things get your attention huh….. **going shopping for new toys… lol**
Mmmaaaawwwhhhahhaawwww!!!!!!
I will get you and your little twet bird!
Bring it on, baby!
***rubbing hands…. is that a evil wicked naughty gleam in cecile's eyes***
