firsts series: fisting

Why not go all out to begin with I say. πŸ™‚

‘My first fisting by Kris ‘n’ Good Books’

One day; a long, long time ago, Kris read a book.
The book was about a boy who met a boy, who introduced him to yet another boy.
The first boy started smexing with the second and the third boy.
This was ok because, hey, two boys plus one boy was just more fun.
However, the second and third boys were twins and were also smexing.
*gasp*
Needless to say, when fisting occurred Kris was still puzzling over the twincest thing to pay much notice.
Soon after, Kris read another book.
Romance, tatts, smexing, fist-…
“What. The. Fuck.”
Turning back the pages, Kris read the scene again.
And again.
And again.
“Is this really possible??” thought Kris.
Doubts aside, the feelings evoked by the act certainly seemed very deep and real.
“Perhaps,” she mused,
“It’s a measure of the level of trust and intimacy between the lovers.”
This made complete sense to Kris.
So, on she read…
… and then after discovering this author kinda got blase about the whole thing.
The End.

And you? What’s your fisting story??

  1. Val says:

Hey, Kris, just when I thought you couldn't top (no pun intended!) your last graphic on the rimming post, you find an even funnier image.

As for this new exotic sexual practice, I've got to say that my thoughts echoed yours when I read my first such scene (in Stealing West by Jamie Craig: I thought, “Is this even possible???”

My poor virgin brain! I'm such a sheltered and conservative reader, ha, ha!

  2. Tam says:

My first fisting was your first fisting. Ummm. That sounds really bad. But yeah, same book.

I think I winced at first and kind of skipped it and then thought “No, you have to read the whole thing. Suck it up wimp.” And yeah, same reaction. Most of it I've read since has been the same concept, it's a trust thing, not a dominance/strength thing. I don't mind it but I wouldn't want it to be say as common as rimming. πŸ™‚

I've had this conversation with other on-line friends, most of whom are guys and there are the two camps, those who clench up at the mere though (gay guys so not clenching as a general rule) and those who see it as something intimate and trusting. That's how prefer to see it and in the right context it works well for me. I think Chris Owen does it nicely. Writes it I mean. Sigh. (It's impossible to write about this without it sounding porny.)

  3. Same author was my first – I don't like that either and it is blase as you said…

Not all smexing is gonna work for me but fisting – I really don't like…

    Logistical issue warp my imagination….ewwwweeee

Are you trying to tell us something with that pic..

    E.H>

  4. Jenre says:

    “Your fisting story”?

Well that can be read a number of ways….

The first fisting scene that I read was in Where the Heart is by Ally Blue but I was more taken aback by the enema scene before it and the copious use of crisco to really focus on the act itself.

Since then I've read a number of scenes, especially in SM books. In these scenes the experience takes on a mystical and special quality but all I'm thinking is – what's all the fuss, all he's done is stick his whole hand up your arse.

Basically, I can't say it does anything for me. I'm almost tempted to skip them when they come along because I find it all a bit dull and OTT in terms of the reactions of the characters.

  5. I watched a porno once where there were two women in a hot tub and the one woman's whole fist disappeared.

Hot tubs make for easy fisting?

  6. Tam says:

But disappeared where KB? I mean 12 lb babies come out of one of those holes. That's a whole lot bigger than a fist. LOL

  7. Tan: the hoo haa, vagina, places where hands can disappear into where the Holy Land is.

    Better?

  8. Tam says:

Well, it could have disappeared in the other “orifice”. LOL Just checking.

  9. haven't read too many FF fisting books. Can you imagine? *Ouchie*

  10. Lily says:

My first fisting experience was reading the Jarheads series by SM.

    0_0

I was very shocked actually. It was early in my M/M reading and such a thing had never occurred to me!! πŸ˜€ Oh to be so innocent again. Since then I've read lots of fisting scenes and while I enjoy reading them it's no big deal now.

  11. Ingrid says:

It's either a Sean Michael book or My fair captain.
I don't really care for them but one the best is in Special forces.

  12. K. Z. Snow says:

No. No, no, no. That's like shoving a baby back up the birth canal after it's been born.

  13. Kris says:

Val: I had fun choosing the pics, believe me. πŸ˜‰

“My poor virgin brain! I'm such a sheltered and conservative reader, ha, ha!”

You and me both, Val. Now I'm like 'whatever' and just move on. LOL.

Tam: So we lost our cherry together. That's funny.

My brother and I had a very interesting conversation comparing anal sex for m/f to fisting for m/m and concluded that it was all about intimacy. (Our conversations have certainly become more interesting since I came 'out' to him as a reader.) And, yes, I definitely prefer those fisting scenes where the act means something between the protags.

EH: “Logistical issue warp my imagination….ewwwweeee”

It does kind of boggle the mind doesn't it. LOL.

“Are you trying to tell us something with that pic.”

Just trying to be open to all POVs on the topics, EH. πŸ™‚

  14. jitterbug says:

LOL, as I said some time ago my first m/m book had a fisting scene… it was Secrets, Skin, and Leather by, guess who?, Sean Michael of course. I was searching for another (m/f) author, I don't remember who, and by chance I read the blurb of SSL. Feeling naughty, I bought it.
    !
I was a little taken by surprise ;P. It's not the kinkiest SM's book, but, well, way kinkier than everything I had read up to that time πŸ˜›

The fisting scene… like many of you at first I thought “no way!! It must hurt like hell!” but really, it was very… sanitized. Enema was hinted at as way of preparation (or it was shown, I don't remember) and the one doing the fisting was an habituΓ©. I didn't completely like it, besides being moderately freaked out by the images running in my head I mean, because I thought it gave the man doing it too much power. (Now) I know it is used more or less accurately by authors to underline the trust the intimacy between the lovers, but I don't always buy it. For this reason I prefer not to read about it, but it's nothing more then a niggle on my part.

  15. Kris says:

Jen: “what's all the fuss, all he's done is stick his whole hand up your arse.”

ROFL!! So I take it you're not convinced by the D&M of it all, Jen.

Katiebabs chook: “haven't read too many FF fisting books. Can you imagine? *Ouchie*”

I think you may be surprised if you google the topic and find out how many women enjoy the act – both giving and receiving.

Lily: Possible desensitisation by one of your fave authors, Lily?? πŸ˜‰

Ingrid: Sean Michael seems to be on a lot of our firsts list for this one.

    Special Forces?? What's that, Ingrid?

KZ: *snort* Obviously we aren't going to get a fisting scene in one of your books then, KZ.

  16. Chris says:

Ally Blue's Where the Heart Is, which actually (beyond the enema prep and heavy use of crisco, mentioned above by Jenre) managed to be pretty smokin'.

  17. Kris says:

Sara, SSL is one of my fave Sean Michael's. πŸ™‚

I remember the fisting scene in that and, yep, an enema was involved. Actually that was the first time I'd read about having an enema associated with a fisting and I was a bit fascinated by the whole thing.

“I thought it gave the man doing it too much power. (Now) I know it is used more or less accurately by authors to underline the trust the intimacy between the lovers, but I don't always buy it.”

Yes, I agree that there is a fine line between the power of the act (not to be compared to when it is used in BDSM which is something completely different imo) and being convinced that it illustrates the level of trust, etc between the lovers.

Chris: You know I can't even recall that scene. I think I was too distracted by the cock ring thing. LOL.

  18. how romantic is it to be in the middle of making out and getting ready to to the deed and saying,

“break out the enema, my fist is going up your arse.”

    so, not romantic.

  19. Kris says:

*Yet another author who won't be including fisting scenes in her work.*

Katie honey, you should be a little bit more open and honest about what you think. Seriously. Don't beat about the bush. Just say it.

  20. Fisting virgin here. I've never read a book with a fisting scene.

    MsM

  21. Kris says:

    *rubs hands together in glee*

Fresh meat!! Someone get this woman a fisting scene… STAT!

C'mon, MsM. You know you want to.

I double dog dare you. πŸ˜‰

  22. LOL Kris! It's not that I'm opposed to it, its just never been in any of the books I've read so far. Name some books (in print- I hate my ereader) and I'll add them to my TBB list then I'll get back to you with my thoughts.
So let's hear it, who's got the best fisting scene?

    :o)

    MsM

  23. Chris says:

Tangent: What reader do you have, MsM?

  24. Tam says:

MsM, I like Gemini by Chris Owen which was Kris and my first. You can get in paper format from Amazon but it's also twincest so not sure if that's your thing, if you've never tried that you can kill two birds with one stone. πŸ˜€ The ultimate trifecta, menage, twincest, and fisting. Woohoo. πŸ˜€

  25. nichem says:

Well, my first experience with fisting was when I was a medical student on my surgery rotation. Someone came in with a ruptured colon from fisting, and being all young and naive at the time, I was O_O. Of course the asshole surgery resident thought it'd be funny if he made me (the only female in the group) present the case the next day, so I got to explain the whole thing to a group of 15 surgery residents and attending. I was a bit embarrassed, needless to say.

You'd think after that incident, it'd bother me to read about it, lol, but it really doesn't (though it really doesn't do anything for me either). The first time I encountered it in a book was in “Bad Case of Loving You” by Lainey Cairo, and it was very well done.

  26. Kris says:

MsM: Well, there are a few suggestions here already. LOL.

In terms of both story and lead up to the fisting scene, I really liked B A Tortuga's Long Road Home but that's not available in print. 😦

I can't remember the fisting scene in J L Langley's My Fair Captain *shrugs*, but that's definitely available in print and just a damned good read anyways imo.

Tam:”The ultimate trifecta, menage, twincest, and fisting. Woohoo. :-D”

Bloody hell, mate. Are you trying to entice MsM or scare her off?!

  27. Kris says:

Holy Crap, Richelle. Yep, you would think think that witnessing something like that would put you off for life. Icky.

Oh, Laney Cairo's “Bad Case of Loving You”! That's such a great book.

  28. Tam says:

Bloody hell, mate. Are you trying to entice MsM or scare her off?

I'm all about go big or go home. No point in pussy-footing around the issue, just dive right in and face your fears head on. Sink or swim, deep end of the pool, you know, all those idioms.

  29. I've read lots of menage and one twincest (“Torn” by Sage Whistler)- thought that was a good read, so menage and twincest won't send me running for the hills.
I am iffy about fisting, sounds…painful, but I'd like to read it in a story that works, so I'll have to check out some of your suggestions.

    :o)

    MsM

  30. Chris, my ereader is on my MP3 player – bugs my eyes and I have a hard time finding my place again. I prefer printed books.

  31. Chris says:

Oh, MsM, you need a better reader! It's very nice to have all those books with you, handy. And there's some great stuff that's only available as e.

  32. K. Z. Snow says:

I'll bet it feels good when that big, bony knot comes out, though. Kind of like being constipated for a couple of weeks and then…well, I think you know where I'm going with this.

  33. Rimming, now fisting…i darent ask whats next Kris 0_o you've traumatised my virgin mind, all i can say is once you've done a fisting you'd never eat a sammich without a knife and fork again…no matter how many times you bleached your hand *teehee*

    Traumatized…traumatized i tells you! =)

  34. JenB says:

I think my first fisting scene may have been in Bite by Sean Michael. But I don't really remember.

Fisting scenes do nothing at all for me (mostly because I was traumatized by an Xtube video once). The only one I've read that was even remotely hot was in Bad Case of Loving You by Laney Cairo.

I could totally do without fisting scenes. Boring.

  35. H says:

Bad Case of Loving You by Laney Cairo (actually, it may be the only one I've read).
This is one of my all-time favourite books (I have it in both paper and electronic format – it is one the stories that sits on my (virtual and real) Re-Read Shelf.

It does come across as an intimate and trusting event in the story and it is not what first comes to mind for me when I think about the book.
    Mmmm …

  36. orannia says:

HHmmm. I think my first fisting scene was in Bent (Sean Michael). It was taken slowly, but still… I think my problem is it's all abstract, which is why nichem's comment has given me food for thought…

  37. Kris says:

    Tam: I don't get it.

MsM: “I'd like to read it in a story that works, so I'll have to check out some of your suggestions.”

Cool. Anytime you need a hand, we're here. *beams*

KZ, re: knots – You've obviously never read any Lora Leigh. Just sayin'.

Claire: Sorry. No. Really. I so am. *hehehe*

BTW, remind me to send you a photo I have a guy licking chocolate. It might just change your mind about the possibilities of rimming and fisting.

JenB! Well, colour me amazed. I thought you were going to tell us 'been there, done that, not really that great'. I'm so disappointed in you.

Dammit, H! Now I'm gonna have to reread it to try and get what you're hinting at. LOL. But, yes, the consensus seems to be for Bad Case of Loving You as a good example of fisting. (Heh. Never thought I'd say that as often as I have today.)

Orannia: Not sure it's a good idea to be using food as a metaphor in this context cos… well, icky.

  38. Lori says:

There was fisting in My Fair Captain? Hmmm… must do a reread. Otherwise, I don't think I've ever come across a fisting scene either. And I've gotta add my ouch in there as well.

  39. I love love love My Fair Captain!! Does anyone know when the next Regency planet tale is coming out? I need my fix!

  40. Ingrid says:

Katie, on the last page. It's not really explicit but it is there. If I remember well it is first mentioned when Adrian is hiding in Nate's bedroom.

  41. Ingrid says:

As for the new book, not in a long while Katie. First we get a new wolves book sometime late next year.

  42. Kris says:

Lori, yeah, the thought does kinda make you clench doesn't it.

Ingrid, we don't get Matt's book until late next year?? Bummer. 😦

  43. JenB says:

LOL…no, I have NOT been there and I have NEVER done that.

Not this one. Bleh. Noooo thanks.

  44. Sarah says:

Actually, I am not sure I've read it in a book. Either than or it's not been memorable. O-o

Seen it via a porn blog I read. My eyebrows spent some time planted in my hairline. Very safe and consensual play. Not sure how you'd get it into a book and make it work, unless it is some srsly well written.

    AND ouch.

  45. Kris says:

    JenB: *tee hee*

Sarah: Must admit that my eyebrows were firmly up at my hairline when I googled fisting images, and that was even when I knew all about it from what I'd read.

Being safe and consensual is definitely a must in RL, porn, erotica, romance fiction, whatever. The times that fisting has worked for me inj fiction was when there was a discussion beforehand about the act, previous experiences and preparation. This made it that much more realistic.

  46. Ingrid says:

Have you seen vids like on xtube Kris?
Realistic is nice but if it's written like that in a book, the book could be rather boring and too long.

  47. Kris says:

Ingrid, nup. Porn doesn't interest me. I like fiction or still piccies, but not vids. *shrugs*
