zowie, it’s yaoi! *hehehe*

I seem to be talking about yaoi a lot lately; both on and offline, so I thought it would be a great idea to give people a dedicated post for sharing their favourite books, authors and artists with other readers.

I’ll start then, shall I?? These are a couple of the books firmly on my keeper shelf:

Totally Captivated series by Hajin Yoo

Technically this is manwha (Korean version of yaoi). I would strongly recommend to anyone that they read past the first book otherwise you might be left scratching your head. The second book will have you hooked and, by the time you close the cover on the sixth, you will be completely satisfied albeit sorry that it all had to come to an end.

The Crimson Spell series by Ayano Yamane

Best. Fantasy. Yaoi. Ever!! She’s going to be at Yaoi-Con! *SQUEEEE* Seriously, though, for those of you who love their stories with adventure, magic, quests, powerful and sexy wizards, honourable but cursed heroes, and nasty bad guys then this series is definitely for you. It’s bloody terrific.

So tell me… what are your faves? 🙂

PS – Don’t forget that if you’re curious about The Great Yaoi Swap you can just email me to find out more. 🙂

About Kris

Reads, rants, randoms & R+s. You've been warned. BTW, don't follow me if you're a GLBTQQphobic wanker. It won't end well. For you.

Mary, wow! Thanks for all the great recommendations. 🙂 I've heard of Kazusa Takashima but haven't read any of her work yet. I'm loving the blurbs to the You Will Fall In Love/You Will Drown In Love series. I'm not going to be able to resist those for long I'm sure. LOL. Thanks again!

Melissa: “I'm an easy to please pervert so really I should list things I don't like. The list would be shorter… “

*snort* Perve? You said it, hun.

Makoto Tateno is one of my fave ever artist/authors. I love her work. Yellow and Hero Heel are both firmly on my keeper shelves.

You're the second person to mention Kazusa Takashima. That's it. I'm going shopping today come hell or high water!

Tracy: Holy crap!! Salina did warn that they were expensive…

I liked the first Totally Captivated too…there are more? WOW!

And those Crimson Spell books looks so pretty! *drools*

I read one at the end of last year (not manga) that I really liked. I can't remember what it was called though…it was about borrowing money…a gang member had to borrow money from an old school friend…it was hot IMO 🙂

I have so much to learn about yaoi…I guess I'm in the right place?

I'm learning more all the time too. We'll learn here together. 🙂

I think the novel you're thinking about is Sleeping With Money. I remember that a number of the swapees liked the one.

There are 6 volumes to Totally Captivated and 3 – so far – to Crimson Spell. I'm not sure how many vols are planned for the latter, but, yep, the artwork is seriously pretty.
