mia watts is going down

Mia Watts thinks she’s up to the challenge of my awesome ‘choose your own m/m story’.

We’ll see…

How to play:

Step 1. Peeps choose different elements to be included in a story.

Step 2. After counting the votes, I let you know the results and…

The story prompts:

1. the setting

a) locked in a church bell tower

b) a zoo after hours

c) the observation deck of the Starship Enterprise

d) a building earmarked for demolition

2. some background to one of the main protags

b) one likes to hang out with his mother, much to her consternation

c) one has been organising the church social for the last 5 years

d) one is a twinky-sized bear (not the animal kind… well, I guess they could be defined has as ‘animals’… hell, I give up…)

3. another character/s

a) a philosophising, high-rise window washer

b) a lavender-haired matron in a twin set and pearls, who is constantly pinching butts

c) a ghost – and not the Caspar kind

d) a monkey who keeps stealing things

4. a conflict

a) one has a panic attack whenever he sees red M&Ms

b) one, who can’t do math, keeps on getting interrupted when counting the money in the donation box

c) they are arguing about the possibility of one of them getting skin implants

d) they find a man dead in a vat of ice cream

5. an object/phrase to be mentioned in the story somewhere

a) lutefisk

b) a split trouser seam revealling a pink, lace g-string

c) “Number One, you have the helm.”

d) a fly swatter

So…

Leave a comment with your choices or email me at krisngoodbooksATgmail.com. You have until midnight Sunday 28 March (Perth, Western Australia time).

Count down to being as mean to Mia as you want in… 3…. 2…. 1…

maybe it’s me, but…

There are a few readers among us who are slightly obsessed with the various acts associated with cum in m/m romance and erotica.

As a result, there are also a number of places, including here at this blog – shocking, I know -, that have had many an intellectual discourse about the fact jizz usually tastes like whatever the guy ingests the most; for eg, vampires drink blood therefore etc, etc.

So, for the guys who essentially live off BJs does that mean there comes (har har) a point where sprog basically tastes like, well, sprog??

Just something I’ve been contemplating…

The Baby Brother: What’s your post about today?

Me: Sounds.

The BB: What, like music? *confuzzled* What’s that got to do with gay stuff?

Me: *impatient* No. SOUNDS.

The BB: ???????

Me: You know. The sex toy.

The BB: O_o

Me: For the urethra.

The BB: *expression of dawning horror* You mean it goes up a guy’s wee wee hole?!

Me: Yeah. You wanna see pictures??

The look on his face.

Absofuckinglutely priceless.

m/m rutt challenge: your links

The time has come for you to add a comment with your link to the review (can be a goodreads review) of the book you read as part of my awesome m/m ‘get me the fuck out of this rut’ challenge.

Don’t forget that there are two $20 ARe vouchers up for grabs: the first for anyone who read and reviewed a book that they would have ordinarily avoided like the plague; and, the second for the person who read the most books out of their comfort zone.

Now go forth and link, my sweets. I won’t do the draw until 12 noon Monday 22 March my time.

Here are a couple of Cecile’s cookies (pic kindly taken by Patti *g* ) to inspire you:

a true story

Once upon a time, in a town on the edge of the ocean and in the middle of nowhere, a beautiful and totally awesome young woman went innocently to her letter box.

“Oh”, she said upon seeing an envelope prettily covered in kitty and puppy stickers. “I wonder what sweet member of my minions has sent me a love missive this time?”

Turning the envelope, she saw a name that struck fear into her pure heart.

“It cannot be…”

Preferring to think the best of people as was her wholesome wont, she determinedly shook her head, sending her long, piggy tails swinging. “I am sure that it is just someone’s idea of a joke, albeit a poor one.”

Back inside her quaint little house, she, wearing a mask and gloves, carefully slit open the now suspicious envelope.

Once she, with the assistance of her Google Fu, had determined that the white powder was nothing but harmless baby talc, she gently tipped the contents of the letter on to her plastic protected desk.

“Dear God.” Clutching a trembling hand to her throat. “It is her.”

“NOOOOOOOOO!”

“How could she have found me again so soon?! Unless… I should have known that, despite the heartfelt promises, she would be unable to resist a Thai dinner.”

Sighing, the beautiful and totally awesome young woman considered her options, including the one which would see her dispose of and assume the identity of one of her faithful followers.

Finally deciding that she quite enjoyed the life she had in a town on the edge of the ocean and in the middle of nowhere, even though the cost of books was appalling due to the Federal Government’s sell out to the corporate world as well as her nearly overwhelming need to visit and set to rights a certain bookshelf in the Netherlands, she placed one of the pictures of the visually impaired little girl on the wall in her office and murmured

“If you cannot beat them…”

And she lived somewhat happily ever after with the occasional nightmare.

The End.
